Doody Mechanical is committed to provide a safe working environment, free of hazards and to provide adequate safety devices and all required training to employees. It is our goal to create safety awareness among our employees so that each individual understands that he or she has the ultimate responsibility to work safely.
Unsafe work practices by an individual can often lead to accidents, even in a safe working environment. We strive towards eliminating both unsafe practices and conditions that cause loses and to comply with federal, state, and/or local regulations governing the workplace. Our programs are set up to take expedient action to correct unsafe conditions, promote safety awareness, hold each employee accountable for his or her actions, and encourage our employees to inform their supervisor immediately when unsafe conditions are present without fear of reprisal.
Concern for the safety of our employees is our greatest responsibility. Safety is an integral part of how we do business and we have adopted a plan to carry out that philosophy. We offer jobsite safety audits and computer based safety training among many of our safety services.
Our Construction Safety Program includes:
- Full time safety director
- Comprehensive computer based training accessible to all employees
- Extensive safety training for all Doody supervision
- New employee safety orientation
- Real-time, daily and weekly jobsite inspections with documentation
- Pre-job and pre-task planning with foreman/project managers
- Weekly toolbox talks: directed at jobsite safety
- Prompt and thorough investigation of every loss to determine cause and take corrective orders
