Sheet Metal Fabrication & Insulation

Our definition of success is a satisfied customer who seeks repeat business with our team on their next project. We aim to exceed your expectations from the initial design phase through final commissioning. We take as much pride in walking through options as we do in adjusting the controls in preparation for final occupancy.

A true team alliance allows everyone to respond to the project’s needs and demands. It creates a check and balance for the entire team as goals become unified. This method of openness, honesty and dedication improves overall performance and efficiency. Doody takes a very aggressive approach to complete all mechanical work.

Throughout many years of project management and construction experience, Doody has developed a set of tried and true management controls and practices. Whether we are providing sheet metal fabrication and insulation, plumbing system testing or cost estimating and control services, we apply our experience and processes.

  • Cost Control: Doody’s cost control system provides a systematic approach to identifying and analyzing pertinent cost and schedule information. This information is used by the project team to troubleshoot potential problems, assess preventative and corrective actions, and forecast final costs.
  • Project Schedule: The schedule identifies the critical path of activities and establishes acceptable tolerances within non-critical activities. With proper resource loading, the schedule assists in prioritizing work within short-term schedules.
  • Project Coordination: Using detailed project reports, scheduling matrices and coordination meetings, we are able to accurately predict our jobs outcome. It is our goal to achieve success through teamwork in all of these phases.
  • Document Control and Communication: Weekly construction meetings, along with other planning and review meetings with team members, have meeting agendas and timely follow up with meeting minutes.
  • Pre-Commissioning: This process starts well in advance of construction completion. The first step is to identify equipment and systems. This list is then integrated into the construction schedule matrix. The commissioning timing to be reviewed by all team members to ensure the project schedule stays on track. At the next stage commissioning scripts are written and reviewed. The scripts detail the exact procedure for each individual piece of equipment and operation. They identify the characteristics to be verified to ensure compliance with specifications and the operations to be performed, certifying performance under load.
  • Commissioning: With any project we recognize that a significant part of the team’s responsibilities is to properly commission the project, providing the client with a predictable, functional, reliable outcome. In our experience, the commissioning process begins at the start of the project. At the end of the project all commissioning forms are compiled for the final report. These include all signed off scripts, schedules, equipment check off forms and issues logs. Virtually all large-scale projects are commissioned with a third party and/or Commissioning Authority per LEED guidelines. We are comfortable working with a dedicated commissioning agent throughout the duration a project.
